College of Science faculty take pride in providing hands-on learning experiences for students that blend academic rigor with practical applications.

Our students engaged in undergraduate research have learned science by exploring the unique geological terrain of our region, researching mathematical cryptography, traveling in study abroad programs to investigate habitats of the Bahamas and developing computer gaming programs.

New Degree Program: Earth & Space Science In Fall 2009, Columbus State University will become the only institution in the state of Georgia to offer a B.S. degree in Earth and Space Science (ESS). Students majoring in Earth and Space Science at CSU will be able to focus their studies along one of three degree tracks: Astrophysics and Planetary Geology, Geology, or Secondary Education. more >
